Its that time of the year again.....lol

Its the 15th and my birthday is the day after tomorrow!!!!I'm not that excited but I'm gonna turn a year older yipeeee!!!!!!My curfew will get extended by an hour or so(its a big thing for me!!)Anyways I recently participated in the Global Millennium Development Summit that took place in Mumbai.People from all over had come to Mumbai to participate in it and I had the best time of my life there!!!!It was amazing!!!!

We had to get up at like 6 and reach my college by 7 - 7:30 am and I used to get back by like 9 - 9:30 and I barely had time for anything else.....I made some amazing friends there!!!!I'll try to stay in touch with them over facebook.....I learnt to say some basic stuff in alot of new languages.But I realized one thing - it was the best time of my life because I was busy the whole day!From now,I'll try to keep myself as busy as possible.It was a nice change from my routine life too.It is something that will remain with me for the rest of my life.

We were supposed to make documentaries on the the millennium development goal we chose.I chose goal 7:environmental sustainability but I got goal 6:combating hiv/aids,malaria and other killer diseases.It was very educating.I never really thought too much about it.But after the summit I kinda feel very strongly for this particular cause.We met a few sex workers in Mumbai and they had some really horrifying stories to tell.They get like Rs.300 at the most,some of them are sold by their husbands while gambling,some are forced into the flesh trade by their own mothers and sisters and that sometimes they are forced to have sex with 12 men at the same time!!!!Its quite scary actually.But they still find inspiration in life- I dont think I'm that strong.

Well lets talk about nice things - like my birthday!!!!!I haven't decided what am i going to wear yet.I've got this little paunch that looks very shabby and ewww....and I cant find anything that conceals it......well whatever......my college is reopening on that day!!!!isn't that sad?I'l have to attend lectures on my birthday!!!and I'm too much of a nerd to bunk them....I want a hand bag,a clutch bag,some good books,chocolates and new clothes for my birthday but I seriously doubt if I'll get them.......
